Mukisa Ssemanda: A Journey from Pain to Purpose
At just four years old, Mukisa Ssemanda faced unimaginable loss. He lost both parents and witnessed his mother’s passing at a tender age. With no family to turn to, he found himself in a brutal environment where survival meant hard labor. He had to dig, fetch water, and do heavy chores just to earn a meal and a place to sleep.
The trauma weighed heavily on him, but his story took a turn when he joined Wakiso Dance Kids Foundation. Here, he found love, care, and the healing power of dance. Step by step, he regained his joy, confidence, and purpose.
Today, Mukisa’s smile is not just a reflection of his own healing—it brings hope to others. He is no longer a child defined by hardship but a beacon of light, proving that no circumstance is too great to overcome when surrounded by love and support.
Alinaitwe Nyakana: From Street Struggles to a Future of Hope
At just seven years old, Alinaitwe Nyakana’s world revolved around survival. Each day, he walked the streets selling yellow bananas, hoping to earn enough for a meal. But despite his determination, his small earnings could never pay for an education or secure him a better future.
When Wakiso Dance Kids Foundation welcomed him, Alinaitwe was given a chance to rewrite his story. However, his journey wasn’t easy—when he first stepped into school, other children laughed at him because of his background. Yet, he refused to let their words define him. Instead, he embraced resilience, worked hard, and found confidence through the love and support of his new family.
Today, Alinaitwe is no longer the boy struggling to survive—he is a young man full of ambition and strength. With unwavering determination, he is now working hard to build a home for his mother, proving that no hardship is too great to overcome. His journey is a powerful reminder that with opportunity and support, every child has the potential to rise above their circumstances and create a better future.

Building a Safe Home for Wakiso Dance Kids
At Wakiso Dance Kids Foundation, we believe that every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment to grow, learn, and thrive. However, our current living situation is far from ideal. We have been struggling to pay $200 in rent each month for a house that is not only inadequate but also unsafe for our children. This is why we have launched our "Building a Safe Home" campaign—to create a permanent, secure home where our children can truly flourish.
Our Goal: $200,000 for a Safe Home & Dance Training Grounds
To provide our children with a safe and stable environment, we aim to raise $200,000 to build a home and establish proper dance training grounds. This will not only ensure they have a secure place to live but also provide them with a dedicated space to nurture their talent and continue using dance as a tool for empowerment and transformation.
Why This Home is Urgent
The house we currently rent is overcrowded and lacks the necessary facilities to support the well-being of the children. Every month, we struggle to raise $200 just to keep a roof over their heads—funds that could otherwise be used for their basic needs.
With your support, we can build a permanent home and redirect this $200 towards essential necessities such as:
Nutritious Food
Ensuring healthy meals every day.
Clean Water
Providing safe drinking and bathing water.
Education
Paying school fees, books, and materials.
Clothing & Essentials
Providing proper clothing and dignity.
How You Can Help
Your donation, no matter the size, will bring us closer to achieving this dream. By contributing to this campaign, you are helping us provide not just a house, but a real home—a place of love, safety, and hope for these talented children.
Every brick you help us lay is a step towards securing a better future for these kids. Join us today in building a home where dreams can grow.
We will be glad if you join us in the journey to Change lives.
